Ways to obtain Nomgars
| Source | What you receive |
|---|---|
| Starter account | Six playable in-game Nomgars, the two account spells, and 500 Gold |
| Eligible introduction rewards | One-time Gold and in-game cards as the introduction makes them available |
| Win chests | Gold and possible in-game Nomgar copies |
| Summoning | Random Nomgars; purchases normally start automatic NFT delivery after the result is collected/finalized |
| Daily shop | The specific offered Nomgar; purchases normally start automatic NFT delivery |
| Forge | A Nomgar delivered after a supported source NFT is burned |
| NFT transfer | A minted Nomgar held in a supported wallet associated with your account; playable once ownership is confirmed, with a custody cooldown for direct match Gold |
Current introduction reward definitions are 100 Gold plus Tusklet for the welcome reward, 100 Gold for the strategy reward, and Barkshot for the merge reward. These are finite entitlements for eligible accounts, not repeatable training payouts.
In-game copies versus NFTs
Both can supply playable cards and levels. Their ownership and upgrade paths differ:
| Property | In-game copy | NFT Nomgar |
|---|---|---|
| Play in a deck | Yes | Yes, after applicable checks |
| Ownership | Stored on the game account | Held as a blockchain token |
| Transfer as an NFT | No | Subject to the wallet/transfer flow |
| Upgrade materials | Other permanent in-game copies of the same species | Eligible NFT materials of the same species in the same holding wallet |
| Qualify for direct match Gold | No, by itself | Yes, if the complete lineup and cooldown requirements are satisfied |
Starter, chest, and introduction copies are not automatically NFTs. Upgrading an in-game card does not turn it into one. A skin is also separate from the underlying playable Nomgar.
Purchase minting currently has a 60-print-per-account-per-UTC-day limit. At that limit, a purchase can still succeed but the affected result remains an in-game copy rather than waiting for tomorrow's mint allowance. Check the delivery/ownership state of the actual result; purchasing and mint delivery are separate events.
Card levels and combat stats
Nomgars cap at level 10. Base HP and ordinary damage scale linearly:
stat at level L = base stat × (1 + 0.1 × (L − 1)), with integer rounding in the game.
| Level | Base-stat multiplier |
|---|---|
| 1 | 100% |
| 2 | 110% |
| 3 | 120% |
| 5 | 140% |
| 10 | 190% |
For example, 1,000 base HP becomes 1,400 HP at level 5. Levels do not make cards cost more Soul Energy. Do not apply this formula indiscriminately to every ability: fixed durations, percentages, movement, and some passive damage/healing amounts use their own rules.
Upgrading a Nomgar
The current upgrade is deterministic once its requirements are met. It is not the older chance-based RagMon upgrade system.
- Open Collection and select the Nomgar.
- Open its upgrade/merge action.
- Review the target, resulting level, exact materials, and Gold cost.
- Confirm only when you are happy to consume those materials.
- For an NFT upgrade, complete any required wallet approval/signature and wait for transaction completion. Refresh the collection afterward if needed.
Each upgrade costs 100 Gold, plus matching-species materials. Material value doubles at each level: an L1 copy contributes 1, an L2 contributes 2, an L3 contributes 4, and so on.
| Upgrade | Required material value, excluding the target | Equivalent extra L1 copies | Gold |
|---|---|---|---|
| L1 → L2 | 1 | 1 | 100 |
| L2 → L3 | 2 | 2 | 100 |
| L3 → L4 | 4 | 4 | 100 |
| L4 → L5 | 8 | 8 | 100 |
| L5 → L6 | 16 | 16 | 100 |
| L6 → L7 | 32 | 32 | 100 |
| L7 → L8 | 64 | 64 | 100 |
| L8 → L9 | 128 | 128 | 100 |
| L9 → L10 | 256 | 256 | 100 |
Example: an L3 target needs 4 material value to become L4. Four L1 copies or two L2 copies can supply that value. The target is separate from the materials.
The game chooses and validates an exact material set. Having copies spread across wallets does not make them one NFT upgrade pool. In-game copies cannot substitute for NFT materials, and NFT copies are not consumed by an in-game merge. Materials already involved in a pending upgrade may be unavailable.
Consumed materials are removed. Read the review carefully, especially when using leveled NFT copies. An NFT upgrade has an on-chain completion path; a click or Gold debit alone is not proof that it finished.
Account XP and account level
Account level is a separate track from card levels. Verified ranked PvP and, after the matchmaking XP update, verified matchmaking-bot battles use the same awards:
| Verified outcome | Account XP |
|---|---|
| Win | 60 |
| Loss | 20 |
| Draw | 35 |
Account XP does not require an NFT deck. Verified matchmaking-bot battles award 60 XP for a win, 20 for a loss, and 35 for a trusted draw once the matchmaking XP update is live. Training, Practice, friendly games, and unverified client-reported results do not award account XP. Spending Gold or Gems does not buy account XP.
Matchmaking XP rollout: these bot awards require the server update. Before it is live, matchmaking-bot battles award no account XP. Older bot battles already settled with zero XP are not credited retroactively. Bot XP is independent of NFT eligibility, the direct-Gold daily allowance, and chest space; it does not award a PvP ranked win or League MMR.
Advancing from account level L requires 200 + 100 × (L − 1) XP. There is no configured account-level gameplay cap.
| Account level reached | Lifetime XP required | XP to the next level |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | 0 | 200 |
| 2 | 200 | 300 |
| 3 | 500 | 400 |
| 5 | 1,400 | 600 |
| 10 | 5,400 | 1,100 |
| 25 | 32,400 | 2,600 |
XP and rewards come from a settled server result. A result can appear before all account balances refresh.
Spell upgrades
Emberburst and Frostburst start at level 1 and are freely available account spells. They are not NFTs and do not use duplicate Nomgars as materials.
You may upgrade a spell to at most the lower of your account level and level 10. Reaching a new account level unlocks eligibility; you still purchase each spell upgrade separately with Gold.
| Upgrade | Required account level | Gold | Emberburst damage after upgrade | Frostburst damage after upgrade |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| L1 → L2 | 2 | 100 | 660 | 110 |
| L2 → L3 | 3 | 200 | 720 | 120 |
| L3 → L4 | 4 | 400 | 780 | 130 |
| L4 → L5 | 5 | 700 | 840 | 140 |
| L5 → L6 | 6 | 1,100 | 900 | 150 |
| L6 → L7 | 7 | 1,600 | 960 | 160 |
| L7 → L8 | 8 | 2,200 | 1,020 | 170 |
| L8 → L9 | 9 | 3,000 | 1,080 | 180 |
| L9 → L10 | 10 | 4,000 | 1,140 | 190 |
Open the spell in Collection, inspect the upgrade review, then use Confirm Upgrade. Cost, radius, targets, and Frostburst's 1.5-second stun do not increase. The live configuration had spell purchases enabled when this wiki was checked.
Features not to assume
Older reference documents discuss job classes, job changes, a Battle Pass, and separate colored-gemstone upgrades for Guardians and the Nexus. Those documents are not instructions for the current player flow. This wiki does not promise those systems as available. Spark Bolt and Cadence exist in authored spell data, but the current online loadout publishes only Emberburst and Frostburst.
Values and availability can change. Always review the current in-game offer or Forge confirmation before proceeding.
