What different matches count toward
Rewards require an accepted server result. A locally displayed win alone does not grant every reward.
| Activity | Direct match Gold | Win chest, if a slot is free | Quest progress | Account XP | Ranking |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Verified ranked PvP | With NFT eligibility and remaining capacity | Yes | Yes | Yes | Trophy Road; League MMR when applicable |
| Server-admitted matchmaking opponent controlled by a bot | With NFT eligibility and remaining capacity | Yes | Yes, in the current progression implementation | After the XP rollout: 60 win / 20 loss / 35 trusted draw | Wins advance Trophy Road; no League MMR |
| Training or ordinary practice bot | No | No ordinary match chest | No ordinary ranked quest credit | No | No |
| Friendly/private practice flow | No ranked payout | No ranked payout | No ordinary ranked quest credit | No | No |
The quests currently say “ranked matches.” The progression code counts verified ranked PvP and server-admitted matchmaking-bot results. An arbitrary practice bot is not the same thing as an admitted matchmaking opponent.
One-time tutorial entitlements are separate from ongoing match rewards.
Matchmaking XP rollout: verified matchmaking-bot battles use the same account XP rates as ranked PvP once the server update is live: 60 for a win, 20 for a loss, and 35 for a trusted draw. Before that update, bot battles award no account XP; old zero-XP results are not credited retroactively. Free decks qualify for XP without NFT eligibility, remaining direct-Gold allowance, or an empty chest slot. Training, Practice, friendly games, and unverified results remain excluded. See account XP.
Direct match Gold
| Outcome | Gold for an eligible, verified match |
|---|---|
| Win | 100 |
| Loss | 20 |
| Draw | 0 |
To receive this direct payout:
- Play an eligible mode through the normal matchmaking flow.
- Have every non-spell slot in the submitted lineup backed by an eligible minted Nomgar of that species.
- Satisfy the NFT custody cooldown checks.
- Have remaining daily Gold-paying match capacity.
- Wait for server verification and settlement.
The two account spells do not need to be NFTs. A free card in a species for which you also hold an eligible NFT can still satisfy the species check; the authoritative lineup review determines eligibility.
Daily earning capacity
Current capacity is:
Gold-paying games per UTC day = 5 × total eligible NFT weight
An NFT at level L has weight 2^(L − 1):
| NFT level | Weight | Contribution to daily capacity |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | 1 | 5 games |
| 2 | 2 | 10 games |
| 3 | 4 | 20 games |
| 5 | 16 | 80 games |
| 10 | 512 | 2,560 games |
Weight comes from the eligible minted collection associated with the account when the lineup is authorized, not just the NFT species placed in the eight slots. The complete eligible-lineup requirement still applies.
For example, six eligible L1 NFTs contribute capacity for 30 Gold-paying matches. This does not itself make every possible deck eligible: each non-spell species in the chosen deck must be backed.
There is a 24-hour custody cooldown for direct match Gold when a token changes accounts. A newly purchased or transferred NFT can be used in your lineup immediately at its owned level once ownership is confirmed. During the cooldown, it does not contribute earning weight or satisfy the eligible-NFT lineup requirement for direct Gold. Check the token's displayed eligibility for when it can count toward Gold.
Both paid wins and paid losses use capacity. The old “10 games per day” value still appears in configuration for a legacy counter; it is not the current NFT-weight Gold cap. Daily boundaries use 00:00 UTC.
Free-play Gold and chests
You can still make progress without a full NFT deck:
- New accounts receive starter Gold.
- Eligible accounts can claim one-time introduction rewards.
- Ordinary quests and lifetime milestones award Gold.
- Verified wins can award a chest even when direct match Gold is ineligible or capped.
- Chests contain Gold and may contain playable in-game Nomgars.
There are 4 chest slots. A full tray prevents another win chest from being added; opening one creates space. The NFT quest has its own NFT requirement, separate from ordinary quests.
Daily quests
The server assigns an NFT Quest, a Tower Breaker objective, and one rotating activity objective. Use the quests shown on your account for that day.
| Objective | Target | Gold |
|---|---|---|
| NFT Quest: [unit name] | Win 5 qualifying matches with the named Nomgar NFT species in your deck | 1,500 |
| Tower Breaker | Destroy the day's target of 5, 7, or 9 base structures across qualifying matches | 500 |
| Daily Warm-Up | Play 4 qualifying matches | 500 |
| Three Victories | Win 3 qualifying matches | 625 |
| Break the Line | Destroy at least one base structure in 3 qualifying matches | 750 |
The last three are alternatives in the rotating activity slot, not three guaranteed simultaneous daily quests. When your collection loads, the NFT Quest chooses a species from the eligible Nomgar NFTs you own across your game and linked wallets, including units outside your current deck. It names the unit immediately and keeps that assignment until the daily reset. Put that species in your deck for the qualifying wins. You do not need a full NFT deck. If you have no eligible Nomgar NFT, the quest shows its NFT requirement; tokens still on a transfer cooldown are excluded from selection.
Destroying several towers in one match helps Tower Breaker by that many towers, but counts as one match toward Break the Line. The server uses the recorded match outcome and structure destruction, not a number typed or reported by the player.
Claim completed quests from the quest interface. Daily objectives reset at 00:00 UTC; claim a finished daily before its reset. Reopening the screen or repeating a claim does not award the same objective twice.
Lifetime milestones
| Milestone | Target | Gold |
|---|---|---|
| Arena Regular | Play 10 qualifying matches | 250 |
| Proven Winner | Win 25 qualifying matches | 750 |
| Century Club | Play 100 qualifying matches | 1,500 |
| Arena Champion | Win 100 qualifying matches | 2,500 |
Each milestone is a one-time claim. It is separate from the daily assignment and direct match Gold capacity.
Trophy Road and League
Trophy Road
The road runs from 0 to 2,000 trophies. The ranked PvP deltas are +30 for a win, −25 for a loss, and 0 for a draw, clamped at the road boundaries. There is no daily trophy-earning cap.
Verified matchmaking-bot wins also add up to 30 road trophies. Account XP follows the rollout and rates above. This path does not award a PvP ranked win or League MMR; its loss path does not apply the PvP −25 road deduction.
League
At the 2,000-trophy threshold, competitive placement uses a separate MMR rating, starting from 1,000. Verified ranked PvP results use Elo-style changes rather than a flat +30/−25 MMR rule. Opponent rating affects the change; early League games use a larger adjustment than established accounts.
Elo decay
League MMR can fall while you are inactive. The first 2 complete days after your last rated ranked PvP result are free of decay. Starting after 3 complete days, your effective MMR falls by 20 for each additional complete day. For example, a rating of 1,200 is still 1,200 after 48 hours, becomes 1,180 after 72 hours, and 1,160 after 96 hours without another rated result.
Decay can remove only the points above 1,000 MMR. It stops at 1,000 if your rating was higher; if a match loss has already put you below 1,000, inactivity neither lowers your rating further nor raises it back to 1,000. Road trophies do not decay.
Your profile, League standings, and ranked matchmaking use the effective rating, so a lower number can appear before you play again. When your next rated ranked PvP result settles, the server applies any owed decay once, then the match's MMR change, and starts a new idle period. Matchmaking-bot battles, Training, and Practice do not update League MMR or restart its decay timer.
Every Saturday at 00:00 UTC, a snapshot saves the standings while Road trophies, Elo, League placements, and activity carry forward in the same season. The weekly snapshot does not restart the decay timer.
The season ends manually; its end date will be announced. At that season end, final standings are saved, Road trophies reset to 0, Elo resets to 1,000, and League placement games restart. Lifetime statistics, account XP, inventory, currencies and claimed rewards persist. Pending results count in the season when the server settles them. Consult the current ladder for the active season and placement.
Pending results and disconnects
Gold, chest delivery, XP, trophies, and quest progress can update at different points while a result settles. Return to Home and refresh the relevant panel before assuming a reward is missing.
The live configuration had automatic disconnect penalties and Photon-forfeit rewards disabled when checked. Do not rely on an opponent leaving to instantly award a forfeit payout or on a fixed disconnect timer to describe the current live outcome. The server's settled result is authoritative.
Values and availability can change. Always review the current in-game offer or Forge confirmation before proceeding.
